Have you ever been intimidated by Shakespeare? Does the thought of iambic pentameter put you in a cold sweat? Have no fear–in preparation for Twelfth Night, ACORN Players of Lafayette is presenting its very first Shakespeare workshop! Join some of our behind-the-scenes crew for easygoing exercises in vocabulary, rhythm, and scene studies. Learn some Elizabethan insults, make sense of all the “thee”s and “thou”s, listen for the rhythm and poetry within the dialogue, and put some of Shakespeare’s most famous scenes and monologues on their feet! Our workshop is open to the general public, and there’s no need to bring anything but an open mind!
